Inoue Canelo
Several fights have been held this month since the defeat of our Guido.
Jaron Ennis defeated a very good element and showed that he is undoubtedly the best welterweight around…too bad the other guy has to face Canelo otherwise it would have been an interesting challenge…
Teo Lopez dominated and defeated Barboza jr…maybe an announced victory..but Teo showed that he has grown so much his defense has improved as well as his attacks..for sure in this new category the attention to not take blows increases..and it was seen especially against people with dynamite in their hands like Barboza…
defeat perhaps on hold that of Mr. King Ri..against Rolly Romero..good slugger..very tactical match we didn’t like and that kd made the difference..a somewhat distracted and maybe unconvinced Garcia or maybe too convinced that he could take one bite..we don’t know but Rolly made a very good run..very balanced match..
Canelo beat Schull … very careful the Cuban boy ..nationalized German ..good ..but not gifted with that power to worry Saul who however sweated and certainly did not expect such a tenacious opponent technical and good at never having the whole series unloaded and ready to rematch …
Inoue Cardenas was a really amazing match..we would have paid gold to be in the front row….
second round Inoue cashed a short hook and was down and in crisis…from that corner he did not expect it…and it showed…but then he restarted round after round attacking relentlessly and being very careful not to rediscover himself..great match great battle great actors..clear Inoue is really a monster..the referee stopped the fight in yet another action that highlighted the total supremacy of the Japanese guy.
In our opinion though..two big limitations came out..first his punches at this weight..his natural now..are not so incisive..and if he takes a punch done right always in that category..you can feel it..
the bar is raised even higher for this super champion in our opinion best pound for pound just moved up in category….but there will be more interesting challenges here..for sure we won’t see him cashing a punch like that again..his corner is really meticulous and strategic..one of the few in our opinion top top level..considering also the athlete..
great speed great strikes great combinations and the ability to be able to evade some attacks..we like him because he is deadly..With a Rigandeaux a few years ago what a challenge that would have been..too bad…
boxing is really an amazing sport..and challenges the real ones to sanction who is really the first are made but following a certain order of things..that brings the money forward first…
